Our Story & Purpose

One Life Church, originally called Mudgee Christian Outreach Centre, was established in 1988 by Pastors Jack and Noeline Hurditch. They were assisted by Pastors Pierre and Dale Meyer-Gleaves, who were based in Lithgow at the time.

Originally meeting in the auditorium of Cudgegong Valley Public School, and later at a rented premise within the Bridge Complex at 160 Church Street, in 1995 the church took up a lease at our current location, and two years later purchased the property we all enjoy today. A few years later the church purchased a property in Kandos that functions as an annexe church to Mudgee with regular meetings being held there throughout the month.

Over the past 20 years the church has been led by a committed team of Senior Pastors and Leaders Including Ps Greg & Teena Barnes, Ps Steve & Elizabeth McKenzie and Ps Brian & Dawn Ludlow who served over many years.

In 2017 Ps Ken & Rochelle Sauerbier transitioned into the role of Senior Pastors after both having served within the life of the church for 20 years. Over their time ministering the church has continued to see healthy growth. One Life Church is supported locally by a Mid-Western network of INC Churches that is led by Ps Greg & Teena Barnes in Orange.

One Life Church is part of International Network of Churches (INC) formerly known as Christian Outreach Centre. We are part of a movement of churches that started in Australia in 1974 and has grown to become a network of churches spanning much of the world.

    Ken and Rochelle have been serving as our Senior Pastors at One Life Church since 2017. Prior to this time, they had both been serving within the ministry team and leading the creative ministry of the church. Together they have two children. Ken and Rochelle value the importance of building strong relationships and share a genuine desire to see people in their community and beyond encounter the love and presence of God and the amazing hope that is found in His Son – Jesus Christ.

    Stephen and Elizabeth have been absolute pillars here at One Life for many years. They have served in all manner of roles (including pastoring the church for a period) and currently lead an amazing group of people at our Kandos location. They have three adult children, two of whom still live in Mudgee and attend here at One Life. At this point in time, they are also the very proud grandparents of three grandchildren. Steadfast, and immovable in their faith, they both live to inspire others to do the same.

    Daniel and Tneal moved to Mudgee from the Illawarra with their three children in 2017. They have a passion to share the good news of the gospel and bring with them a broad range of ministry experience including Christian Surfers, SUFM, Youth leading and Missions. They currently serve as the IGNITE Youth leaders and desire to help the next generation grow in their personal relationship with Jesus.

    Michael and Alisha have been involved in various Children’s and Youth Ministries for the better part of two decades. It was actually while helping with SRE (Scripture) in some local public schools that Alisha discovered her love of teaching children and decided to complete a Graduate Diploma in Primary Education. Michael and Alisha relocated their family from the Illawarra to Mudgee in 2017. Together they are raising their three children to love the Lord and are committed to helping grow the next generation of strong Christians.

    Dean & Lisa Marzolla were privileged to serve in an active Sydney church under quality leadership, before being led to a tree change in 2017 which landed them in Mudgee, and a new family at One Life. For decades they both had active roles within youth ministry, then creative and pastoral care leadership while raising 2 daughters. Their passion to positively impact lives in their community has never wavered.
